Ravens Lose Jackson to Injury

The Ravens got some bad news when two-time MVP Lamar Jackson left the game in the second quarter with a back injury. Jackson hurt his back after taking a hit at the end of a run and couldn't come back. He had 101 passing yards before Tyler Huntley took over.


Even though Huntley completed nine of ten passes for 65 yards and led two touchdown drives, the Ravens couldn't stop the Patriots' late push. The loss dropped Baltimore to 7-8 and hurt their playoff chances.



Defense Closes Out Patriots Win

With the Ravens trying to drive for the lead, Patriots linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson came up big, forcing a fumble on receiver Zay Flowers. Marcus Jones recovered it with less than two minutes left, pretty much ending any chance of a Baltimore comeback.


The turnover was a good moment for Chaisson, who is having a great season after struggling as a first-round pick with Jacksonville back in 2020.



What This Means for the Playoffs

The Patriots are now 12-3 and are still one game ahead of the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East. They're also the only team in the NFL that hasn't lost on the road, with a 7-0 record. With games left against the Jets and Dolphins, New England is in control of their own destiny in the division.


For Baltimore, the loss was tough. Now at 7-8, their only shot at the playoffs is winning the AFC North. They have to win their last two games and hope Pittsburgh loses their games. It's a tough road ahead.
